Description
Giclee prints on canvas or paper of Isolation Peak by Lawren Harris
Canadian artist Lawren Stewart Harris is best known as a member of the Group of Seven, and is considered the main driving force that brought together and joined the varying talents and temperaments which formed the Group. He was also the founder of the now famous Canadian Group of Painters which succeeded the Group of Seven in 1933.
In Isolation Peak, Harris presents a distant view of Mont des Poilus in Alberta’s Yoho National Park. The artist’s search for spirituality led him to reduce the mountain’s forms and colors to their most elemental essence.
